Buy Aegir on Your Own Server

Our Hosted Heaven is amazing, but what if you are addicted to the system root powers plus you prefer to host your sites on your own server instead of using hosted service? As always, we have something for you! There is also Aegir on Your Server install and optional support available.

Optional support for remote install includes autonomous, unmanaged, every-minute uptime/self-healing monitoring with Scout and Pingdom remote monitoring, Ksplice rebootless kernel updates for supported kernels (excluding Linode, Slicehost/Rackspace), weekly updates for OS, security and version upgrades for Aegir Hosting System when released and default platforms when new BOA system release is available.

!Existing platforms are never upgraded – only new platforms are added on system upgrade, when available, so you can follow Aegir Upgrades Workflow and Aegir Best Practices. Sites import, updates for created websites, custom added modules and custom platforms are not included. Custom platforms build, platforms and sites troubleshooting, data recovery from backup, general system troubleshooting etc. are subject to extended support, available at our hourly rate $150 USD.

Support is available Mon-Fri 8AM-8PM UTC, but covers only included services. Scheduled system upgrades are announced on Twitter and App.net.

Note that fresh, minimal OS install is required on your server, with no services installed, besides SSH and optionally mail server, or we will have to wipe out existing services, cause any hosted site downtime and charge for the extra site import service, not included in the BOA stack setup. We support Debian LTS and Ubuntu LTS releases, but Debian 6 Squeeze is recommended. By default MariaDB 5.5 database server will be installed. Installation of Solr/Jetty is optional and requires 2 GB RAM at minimum. Otherwise 1 GB of RAM (or more) is required to install all available platforms.
