Drupal Sites Support

Need assistance with Drupal site security updates? Exhausted by continuous version upgrades, major core updates, or PHP compatibility conversions and site health monitoring?

We provide complete Drupal support and maintenance, including same-day security updates.

The Basic and Extended plans are priced per site, while the Enterprise plan covers the entire Aegir platform with up to 50 sites sharing the same codebase in a multisite configuration without extra modules per site.

For single sites without active developers, we recommend starting with the Extended plan for one month, then switching to the Basic plan for security-only coverage. You can alternate between these plans to optimize maintenance costs.

For multisites/Aegir platforms or sites with active developers, we recommend the Enterprise or Extended plan to prevent the accumulation of issues that could complicate future upgrades.

Important Details

Your Drupal support subscription begins once the onboarding procedure is completed.

The onboarding procedure is covered by a one-time setup fee. If your site is up-to-date with the latest or nearly latest Drupal core and contrib versions, onboarding will be quick. However, if your site is several versions behind, a multi-step upgrade and debugging may be required, extending the onboarding process. The procedure may also be extended with a custom schedule if it involves importing the site from another platform.

Due to the varying nature of Drupal core and contrib updates, and the different ways code is managed by site owners or developers, we offer three modes of operation across all service levels.

To accommodate site complexity and custom module dependencies, we offer three modes of operation: Fully Automated, Semi-Automated, and Manual. Choose the mode that best fits your site's needs—additional add-ons may be required, depending on the plan.

You can mix and match options to cover core updates, both core and contrib updates, with further divisions into security and version updates, including minor and major versions.

Fully automated updates include individually configured site health monitoring to detect side effects promptly, allowing our admin to address issues within minutes. Higher non-automated levels also include live human assistance throughout the process.

Some options in this service matrix support bulk updates, covering multisite configurations with many sites on the same codebase.

Select the best mode, level, and coverage for each site to meet its unique requirements.

Generally, security and minor version updates may use patches or replace vanilla parts of the code in place without Aegir-specific migration procedures. Changes will be kept in local git commits for easy review and optional undo actions but will not be pushed to remote repositories, leaving this decision to site developers, administrators, or owners.

While we do not have direct access to the Drupal security team, our service is based on official Drupal security announcements. We strive to minimize the time between announcements and updates, guaranteeing a “same-day” policy for security updates if added to your subscription.
