On 10:43 AM Aug 4th I posted this Tweet about great inspiration for our Drupal hosting new start-up, and only 3 days later first beta version of this site was published and announced on Twitter.
Yes, I submitted it to Google and linked in my profile and posts on groups.drupal.org, but it wasn’t intended as an ads, rather as a way to encourage community to start with something like Drupal easy hosting powered by Aegir and available on every corner.
Well, yes, I know about some experiences with Drupal hosting – Bryght, and also I know about Gardens planned by Acquia, but even in today economy I see almost empty and waiting space for Drupal hosted in a SaaS model, and knowing Drupal enough, I know it is just impossible to dominate this market by Acquia and similar VC powered companies. That’s why we started Omega8.cc.
Our first clients came in the first week after Omega8.cc launch and honestly I don’t know how it happened since we didn’t spend any money on advertising. In fact, there is no advertising of Omega8.cc at all, since we strongly believe in an organic grow, build on very satisfied clients personal recommendations.
Today I though it would be an interesting to find how is it easy to find us on Google and maybe there is even some new competition out there?
